25% of US Netflix users using Wii to stream video

Some interesting data from Nielsen here showing which platforms Netflix and Hulu users in the States are using to stream video. 25% of Netflix users are using the Wii, which being SD only, is probably more a facet of its higher household penetration compared to other platforms.

It does show, at the same time, for Netflix, which appears more of a living room activity than Hulu, that the dominance of using a PC/laptop for streaming is diminishing and we are getting closer to that seamless living room, sofa and remote experience like, well, normal TV.
